
On the afternoon of February 23, the World Trade Center The Hague was festively decorated, filled with a joyful and harmonious holiday atmosphere. The China Cultural Center in The Hague once again joined hands with the World Trade Center The Hague to host a “Happy Chinese New Year” celebration, welcoming nearly 300 distinguished guests from various sectors to celebrate the Year of the Horse together.

The venue was filled to capacity. Eveline Steenbergen, representative of the World Trade Center The Hague, along with representatives from the Netherlands Innovation Center, The Hague Business Agency, and several internationally renowned enterprises, attended the event.

Performers from the dance class of the China Cultural Center in The Hague presented traditional Chinese folk dances rich in ethnic characteristics. Their graceful movements and expressive artistry earned warm applause from the audience. Between performances, the dancers interacted with guests, explaining the cultural symbolism behind each movement, allowing attendees to gain a deeper understanding of the cultural heritage embodied in Chinese dance.
At the conclusion of the event, the organizers presented guests with Year of the Horse mascots symbolizing good fortune and auspiciousness, extending heartfelt New Year wishes to all participants.
Ms. Steenbergen expressed her delight in hosting the Chinese New Year celebration at the World Trade Center, noting that the event not only added festive vitality to the venue but also offered resident companies an opportunity to learn more about Chinese culture. She voiced her hope that cooperation between the Netherlands and China across various sectors would continue to deepen in the future.
