1.Children's Chorus: May They Live Long
Lyrics: Su Shi Composition: Liang Hongzhi Chorus adaptation: Hou Tianyuan
Singing: Beijing Spring Children's Choir Conductor: Su Danna
An everlasting moon, a cake-like moon... at the Mid-Autumn Festival, let us extend our sincere blessing to our relatives and friends, and the bright moon will send our greetings and missing of them. Let us gather together under the bright moon that shines tenderly on the world…
''May They Live Long'', a piece of music composed from the popular Song poem Prelude to Water Melody, creates a specific mood during the mid-autumn festival, and places the audience in a realm where people miss their beloved under the bright moonlight. It gives a vivid and touching expression to people's longing for staying together with their beloved. The music, with bold and unrestrained artistic conception, optimism and open-mind, enables people to enjoy the aesthetic feeling.
2.Ancient song: Moonlit River in Spring
Pipa: Zhang Hongyan Harp: Sun Shimeng
Vividly depicting the fascinating scenery of a moonlit river in springtime, this piece is an ode to the beauty of Jiangnan water towns south of the Yangtze River. The Pipa, first documented nearly 2,000 years ago in the Han Dynasty, is a highly expressive Chinese plucked-string instrument.
3.Nostalgia
Composition: Ma Sicong
Violin: Huang Bin Piano: Zhang Fang
The music is alive with people's homesickness as they stay far away from home.
