Visiting China Online| Have a date with Inner Mongolia all year around

2002/03/11
China Cultural Center in Den Hang

Speaking of Inner Mongolia always brings up endless fantasies.

The writer Baoerji Yuanye described Inner Mongolia as follows: "I have dreamed of her mountains and her grasslands countless times, and if I were to put the dream into a picture, it would be something like this: a tiny, humble grass, seeing its long silhouette in the light of the rising sun, as if it had grown into a tree, growing on the grasslands watered by the Xilamu River, forgetting its insignificance and feeling The road ahead is broad and endless."

Jian Bozan, a well-known Chinese historian and archaeologist, wrote in "A Visit to Inner Mongolia," "Once out of Juyongguan, after a rugged mountain road, a vast wilderness opened up in front of us, a wilderness that could not be seen with a telescope, which is the ancient so-called ‘beyond the Great Wall’."

Vast, pale, vast, bountiful, poetic, where you can hear the sun shining on the grasslands, this is Inner Mongolia, a tourist paradise all year round!

In spring, Xing'an azalea is red all over the mountains; in summer, Xilinguole is full of flowers; in autumn, the sound of camel bells in Alashan, the secret land; in winter, Hulunbuir is frozen in a thousand miles. There are vast deserts, magical Khoomei singing, melodious horse-head fiddle, prosperous modern cities, and dream-like folk songs and dances.……

There are rich and colorful snow and ice resources here. Daxinganling and Hulunbeier are covered by snow and ice for up to seven months every year, which is almost two months longer than the ice city Harbin. When you visit Inner Mongolia in winter, apart from enjoying the forest and snowfields, you will also have the opportunity to participate in the grandest event on the Inner Mongolian grasslands in winter - the Ice and Snow Naadam. This is known as the "Winter Olympics" on the grasslands.

The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is located in northern China, with a vast territory, a long history of nomadic culture and a wealth of natural landscapes. This enchanting place, with its flourishing grassland culture, has developed unique folk customs. The splendid scenery and rich traditions make Inner Mongolia a paradise for travelers.

Special Thanks to the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region for all the pictures and the video.
