This is a story that takes place at the very source of China's "Mother River". "I, a tourist from the coastal region, met a local Tibetan, Zhaxi, his fellow mountain patrollers and his beautiful daughter, Zhuoma, on a journey to visit the source of the river's civilisation.
Here, I saw a painted earthenware depicting the earliest dances in China, a waterfall with ‘its torrent dashes down three thousand feet from high’*, and the source of the river flowing eastward. "We have seen the honest, kind and brave people who guard the holy mountain, the holy water, the holy music and the holy spirit here all year round.
