Netherlands-Chinese Artists Exposition

To stimulate both cultural exchange between China and the Netherlands and the internationalization of special Chinese arts, China Cultural Center has organized the joint exhibition of Dutch Chinese. More than 80 visitors were present, including Chinese and Dutch artists, art galleries, curators and some professors in this field. 



The deputy director of Center Mr. Huang Hongchang hosted the opening. The Cultural sectary of Chinese embassy Mr. Yang Xiaolong gave us an opening speech. He said:“ The relationship between China and the Netherlands has never been so good. Cultural exchange between the two countries was developed in various fields: museums, films, musicals and creative industry. This art exhibition reinforces the sense of solidarity between Dutch artists and all Chinese people in the Netherlands. The exhibition serves as an entrance to the Dutch art world and is a successful experiment. " 

The artist Jos van den Berg came to the center a little earlier on the day of the opening, especially to see the works of the participating artists in detail. In the afternoon he said: "Even though I am an abstract artist, I can really enjoy Chinese paintings and Chinese contemporary art. The great creative capacity of Chinese artists has left a deep impression on me. " 

The Chinese paintings, oil paintings, calligraphy, acrylic paintings, photographs and ceramic works exhibited reflect the origin of the Chinese in the Netherlands. In this way the artists express feelings about their homeland to the Dutch. 



There are 46 works of art by 14 Chinese artists in the Netherlands, including Hu Po, Chen Mo, Zhou Lesheng, Fan Lijia, Xie Yun, Xie Quanhua, Xia Mengxian, Liao Zhanhong, Chen Xu, Huang Xiaoling, Duan Huijun and Hu Huanwu.
