On January 29th, China Cultural Center was dedicatedly decorated, full of good wishes and laughter. The performance of “Happy Chinese New Year, Wonderful Jiangsu” and “Photo Exhibition of Selected Works of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Jiangsu” were held here. Chinese ambassador to the Netherlands-Mr&Mrs. Wu Ken, their colleagues and family members from the Chinese Embassy, as well as many distinguished guests from Dutch political, business and cultural circles attended.  

The Director of China Cultural Center-Mr. Yang Xiaolong extended warm welcome to the first group of respected guests in the new year of 2017, and introduced the journey of establishing the Center, its operation concept, as well the activities that the Center is going to hold and its service. On behalf of the Center, Mr. Yang expressed his aspiration for support and concern for the future activities and cooperation from local Dutch public. 



Afterwards, the performance started by the cheerful dance “Happy Life”, then went on with Chinese traditional national music, Peking Opera, acrobatics, solo singing, dances and so on. These performances were unfolded one by one in front of the audiences like a series of scrolls of Chinese traditional paintings, filled with moody atmospheres. The audiences felt as if they were immersed in different scenes, such as the dancing willow in Jiangnan breeze and drizzle, the galloping horses on the greater Inner Mongolian prairie, the Fern-leaf hedge Bamboo under the Southwestern moonlight and the freshly harvested lotus from the Honghu Lake. The performance ended by “Festive Singing and Dancing”. All the audiences thereafter watched gladly the photo exhibition of Jiangsu Intangible Cultural Heritage.
